Vancouver, BC (Sports Network) - Paul McCallum made three field goals and Steven Black caught a touchdown pass in the fourth quarter, as the British Columbia Lions kept their playoff hopes alive with a 23-17 win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Travis Lulay completed 21-of-29 passes for 204 yards and a touchdown for the Lions (7-10), who must win their final game of the season against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and hope Saskatchewan beats Edmonton in order to make the playoffs as the third seed out of the West. If the Lions and Eskimos end the year with the same record, Edmonton gets the final playoff spot via tiebreaker.

Geroy Simon caught six passes for 79 yards for the Lions, who are in danger of missing the postseason for the first time in 14 years. Jamal Robertson carried the ball eight times for 57 yards.

Darian Durant connected on 24-of-43 passes for 325 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions for the Roughriders (9-8), who are locked into the second seed in the West.

Cary Koch and Chris Getzlaf each caught TD passes for Saskatchewan, which has lost four straight games. Andrew Fantuz hauled in seven passes for 109 yards.

Warren Kean's 15-yard field goal gave Saskatchewan a 3-0 lead after one quarter.

The Lions went in front with a 13-point second quarter. McCallum got things started with a 27-yard field goal. Yonus Davis followed with an 88-yard punt return for a touchdown to give BC a 10-7 edge. McCallum added a 34-yarder to make it a 13-3 game at the half.

Koch's 25-yard TD catch in the third quarter cut the deficit to 13-10.

Durant fumbled the football early in the fourth quarter. Korey Banks recovered the ball for the Lions in Roughriders territory. Four plays later, Black hauled in a four-yard pass for a touchdown and a 20-10 BC lead.

McCallum made a 39-yard field goal on the next Lions possession to make it a 23-10 contest. Saskatchewan responded with a six-play, 83-yard drive that Getzlaf capped with a 25-yard TD catch for a six-point game.

The Roughriders got the ball back with under a minute to play, but failed to move the ball past their own 26.
