Connecticut opens its Big East slate at Pittsburgh on December 27. Ferg Myrick led the way with 19 points for New Hampshire (4-2), which has dropped two of three since a 3-0 start to the season. James Valladares scored 12 points in the loss.</p>

          <p>Syracuse, NY (Sports Network) - Rick Jackson scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds and Kris Joseph added 16 points as eighth-ranked Syracuse rolled to a 78-58 win over Cornell at the Carrier Dome. Dion Waiters added 11 points while Brandon Triche supplied nine for the Orange (7-0), who have won 33 straight games over Cornell dating back to 1968. Errick Peck matched a career-high with 14 points and Chris Wroblewski provided eight points, seven assists and four boards for the Big Red (2-5), who had lost their previous three games by a combined total of only 10 points.</p>

          <p>Lexington, KY (Sports Network) - Brandon Knight tallied 23 points, six rebounds and six assists to lead 10th-ranked Kentucky in a 91-57 rout of Boston University at Rupp Arena. Terrence Jones added 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Wildcats (5-1), who were coming off their first loss to Connecticut in the Maui Invitational. Doron Lamb and Josh Harrellson contributed 13 and 12 points, respectively. Harrellson pulled down 11 rebounds. John Holland scored 20 points for the Terriers (4-4), who have not beaten a ranked opponent since the 1959 NCAA Tournament. Matt Griffin added 13 points, and Darryl Partin had 11 in defeat.</p>

Scotty Hopson scored 19 and a trio of Vols added eight points for Tennessee (6-0), which is on the heels of its 78-68 win over Villanova for the NIT preseason crown. James Washington scored 11 and Rod Emanuel added 10 points for the Blue Raiders (3-4), who have dropped two of three. JT Sulton finished with eight points and both Jason and Shawn Jones supplied six points in defeat.</p>

          <p>South Bend, IN (Sports Network) - Ben Hansbrough posted 24 points and five assists as 25th-ranked Notre Dame downed Indiana State, 81-72, at Joyce Center. Tyrone Nash scored 16 points with seven rebounds and Scott Martin added 15 and five boards for the Fighting Irish (8-0), who face a huge test against nationally-ranked Kentucky in Lexington on December 8. Tim Abromaitis clocked in with 13 points and Carleton Scott had 11 for Notre Dame. Dwayne Latham recorded team-high 22 points for the Sycamores (3-4), who had won two in a row. Jake Kelly contributed 17 points with four assists and Carl Richard scored 14 in defeat.</p>
